How it Began

Lushed is a  small black-owned business based in NY, it was founded by Afiya young self-driven entrepreneur in the making. Lushed was formed when I turned my hobby into a business. I started making candles when I was in my early teens with my aunt just for fun, then a few years later decided to turn it into a business where I can share my craft with others.

Here at Lushed, we took our time to perfect a candle that not only looks good but smells good and delivers an amazing scent throw. Our candles are made from coconut wax and a soy blend type of wax, each hand-poured.

I also created Miracle bath & body. I was inspired by my daughter and my sister as to how they both have sensitive skin. My daughter inspires me to make something  gentle on the skin, whereas my sister inspires me to create a product that can help with her skin sensitivities without the use of any harsh chemical, and thus Miracle bath & body was born.
